BA, as a journaling expert do you think there’s such a thing as it getting out of hand? I spent two hours on an entry the other day that no one will ever read not even me!
I wouldn't say I'm an EXPERT Anne, but no, I honestly don't think there's any such thing as it getting out of hand! It sounds like you don't normally write for that long, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you probably needed that extended session. Not to mention that research shows that journaling is beneficial even if you immediately burn what you've written (geez, maybe I *am* an expert). So it's not so much the saving it or reading it later that's good for you---it's the act of writing.
What could be the harm? 🤓 I go through periods where I don't write at all, then sometimes I'll write like a maniac. All is fair in love and war and journal writing.

Yay thanks for the reassurance, B.A.
And I seem back to my normal routine. So yes, maybe I just needed an extended session.
