I’m almost glad life got in your face and you fell off the face of the earth because we got this glorious post! I completely understand the negative feelings that may come with not following through with what you set out to do AND I think that gathering life experiences will make our art that much more expansive. Cheers to you!

I'm listening to an interview with Clarissa Pinkola Estes: The Dangerous Old Woman, Part One.

Basically we 'old-er' women get to do and say whatever we want. Try stopping us and you'll be....well, that's for each of us to decide.

Loved this honest, raw share!

Thank you.

I feel we all could use a little more of the “it’ll happen when it happens” type schedule. Thank you for this glorious share. 💗

Hi B.A. Always enjoy reading your posts. I think you got the Montreal rain just right! And the best plans laid may always go awry… or as we say in the film biz, plan on 50% screwing up… life seems to be a series of improvisations! PS. Love the “take note” hand written posts… nice stuff!

Thank you Peter. And you're right—life IS a series of improvisations! I guess what I need to do is stop making big proclamations about my plans all the time 🤪

Matters such as creative process, skill building, artistic innovation, and trying to earn a dollar may be the dirt that Feed the Monster is planted in, but I think its' true nature and purpose is to give you (and therefore all of us observing) the fertilizer to grow out of the layers of the shoulds and should nots and be liberated from them so to flourish. It is a privilege to have these opportunities to be allowed in, and be witness to you. Keep facing the sun!

Thank you very, very much for that, Hermione.

Uhmmm, pretty sure you're not the "only one who really cares"....though I know from my own creative struggles how that feeling can sink its hooks in . Keep on keepin' on as they say. Here's Linda McRae's version of Fallin' Off The Face Of The World. She taught it to me on the first ever tour I ever went on. That she took me on might be more accurate. Not sure what happens to links when one posts them in comments but interested parties can always copy and paste

For the record... when I wrote "I'm the only one who cares", I meant the only one who cares if Feed the Monster doesn't appear like clockwork. Not the only one who cares *at all*. Even I am not quite that dramatic 😅
